The fellowship-trained plastic surgeon attended Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania as a Lang Scholar before enrolling in the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. While there, she worked in the world-renowned wound healing laboratory of Stanley Levenson, MD, winning an international health fellowship in the Republic of Vanuatu, a remote archipelago in the South Pacific. 

Dr. Bootstaylor completed her residency in general surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and a fellowship in molecular biology at the University of San Francisco. She also received extensive training in cosmetic, breast, and oral maxillary surgery at the University of Pittsburgh under some of the world’s best plastic surgeons.

A member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the National Medical Association, Dr. Bootstaylor is also proud to be Georgia's first female plastic surgeon. 

Beyond her passion for plastic surgery, Dr. Bootstaylor is an art collector and photographer, further proof of her eye for beauty and aesthetics. She loves to spend time with her husband and three children and engages in multiple philanthropic community endeavors.
