We also encourage you to set aside a few hours so you can relax and rest following the treatment and allow your body to adapt to the effects of the procedure. If you have any type of skin infection or irritation in the desired treatment area, we may advise that you hold off on any medical spa treatment until the condition subsides.
Do Med Spa treatments require downtime?
There is usually no downtime with medical spa procedures, but we recommend that you relax for a few hours after your treatment if possible. It is especially critical to avoid sun exposure for several weeks following most med spa treatments. You must also use a sunblock with SPF30 or greater to protect delicate skin anytime you go outdoors after treatment. Our staff will provide detailed post-treatment instructions that explain how to take care of your skin after med spa treatments to ensure that you achieve the best results. Most patients resume normal activities immediately after treatment or within a day.
